چکیده

of urea was investigated in a spectrum of 1 rat and 8 mouse tumors. Repeated i.p. injections of 1,3-diallylurea significantly retarded Carcinoma C1025 and Ridgway osteogenic sarcoma and produced borderline, antitumor effects in 2 other mouse tumors. 1,1-Diallylurea inhibited 2 tumors, but monoallylurea and 1,3-diallylthiourea were inactive. 1,3-Diallylurea against susceptible tumors was characterized by activity over a wide range of nontoxic doses and was independent of the route of administration. Incubation of fragments of susceptible tumors in solutions of 1,3-diallylurea diminished their ability to grow fol lowing s.c. implantation. Comparison of the 13 substituted ureas revealed that antitumor activity was limited to those compounds having a molecu lar structure with 2 ally! groups.

Anti-tumor Effect of Ginkgo biloba Exocarp Extracts on B16 Melanoma Bearing Mice Involving P I3K/Akt/HIF-1α/VEGF Signaling Pathways

The objective of this study is to investigate the anti-tumor effect of Ginkgo biloba exocarp extracts (GBEE) on B16 melanoma bearing mice and its related molecular mechanisms. The B16-F10 melanoma solid tumor model was established in C57BL/6J mice. The tumor-bearing mice were treated with GBEE (50, 100, 200 mg/kg), taking cis-Dichlorodiamineplatinum (Ⅱ) (DDP, 3 mg/kg) as pos...

Effect of hydroxylamine (NSC-26250) and related compounds on growth of transplanted animal tumors.

The effect of hydroxylamine (NSC-26250) and related compounds has been examined on the growth of 11 transplanted mouse tumors, including 3 leukemias, and 1 rat tumor. By the end of therapy hydroxyurea (NSC-32065) and its 1-methyl (NSC-529064) and 1-ethyl (NSC-50840) derivatives retarded the growth of 9 tumors, and hydroxyurethan (NSC-71045; hydroxycarbamic acid ethyl ester) and N, 0-diacetyl-^-...

Effects of 3-methylcholanthrene on the Endocrine System and Metabolism of the Rat and Its Influence to Retard Growth of Mammary Tumors Hitherto Refractory

The repeated administration of 3-methylcholanthrene to adolescent rats resulted in (a) a profound, incomplete, and selective depression of certain hypophyseal functions; (b) decreased growth of transplanted mammary tumors; and (c) a retardation of body growth. Only the last mentioned effect was reversed by forced feeding. The retarded rate of body growth induced by 3-methylcholanthrene was prev...
